To our donors, supporters, volunteers, staff and the community we serve,
In order to keep our staff safe and reduce potential exposure to COVID-19, we are closing our doors to the public as of Wednesday, March 18, 2020. With a small staff, it is dire that we keep ourselves healthy in order to care for what is most important to us- our cats, dogs, staff and families. We will also be pulling our adoptable felines from our PetSmart Adoption Area (Payson). Our website will stay up to date with our adoptable dogs and cats. If you are interested in adopting, please call the office at 928-474-5590 to schedule an appointment. We will still have staff at the shelter every day to ensure the care and safety of the dogs and cats that depend on us.
If you have found a stray, please bring them to the shelter and ring the bell on the west side of building. If it is afterhours, please call the Payson Police Non-Emergency at 928-474-5177. If you are missing an animal, please call the office (928-474-5590). All messages will be returned within 24 hours.
Our Resale Store (510 W. Main Street) will also be closed as of March 18, 2020.
If you need to renew a dog license for the Town of Payson, please visit http://humanesocietycentralaz.org/top-dog-licensing/.
If you would like to help us during this difficult time, please consider a donation via our website, www.humanesocietycentralaz.org, our Amazon Wish List or we can accept cleaning supplies on the west side of our building (no bleach please). We thank you all for your support and apologize for any inconvenience. Our main priority has, and always will be, the health of our animals who are dependent on the health of us, their humans.
Thank you for your understanding,
Humane Society of Central Arizona Directors and Staff
