Found a litter of kittens?

Kittens have the best chance of survival when staying with their mom for 8 weeks. If you have found a litter of stray kittens:

• Do not pick them up
• Do not give them food (mom often keeps her kittens away from a food source to protect them from other hungry critters)
• Wait for Mom to return (she is probably out finding her next meal)

If you are certain Mom has abandoned them, you can step in to help care for them until they are weaned.
