More often than not, lost pets come into the shelter without any form of identification or a microchip. A microchip is a pet’s permanent ID. Collars and tags can fall off, but a microchip gives lost pets their best chance of being reunited with their families quickly and safely.

When these pets are reunited with their families, HSCAZ offers microchipping services to help get them home much more quickly if they become lost again. While many pet owners are eager to take this important step, financial hardship can sometimes make it difficult.
